The SiSC Group, founded by Prof. Fabian Vargas in 1997,  belongs to the Electrical Engineering Dept. of the Catholic University (PUCRS). The Group research is mainly focussed on the following topics of the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science arena:

- Design and test of reliable VDSM integrated circuits.

- Design of Fault-Tolerant Computer Architectures.

- HW-SW Codesign for Electromagnetic Compatibility of Embedded Systems.

- Digital Signal Processing for Speech Signal Recognition.
